FAI Senior Introduction Coaching course
FAI Senior Introduction Coaching course
In an effort to continue the development of coaching standards within the league, there will be an FAI Senior Introduction Coaching course taking place on the weekend of Saturday 13th Sunday 14th August. This course gives a good grounding in the fundamentals of the game, from the training ground to technical and tactical approaches on the field of play. It is our view that improved coaching standards will lead to both an improved standard of football and a more enjoyable experience for players at all levels within the game. It is our aim that in the coming seasons, all Junior, Youths and Ladies teams will have a coach/manager with a minimum of this level of qualification.
To this end, we have decided to make it compulsory for all clubs to send 1 candidate to participate on this course. The candidate will be a current or aspiring coach from within your club.
To help fund this course the league has decided to give a €35 rebate of course fee for 1 candidate per club on completion of the course. This is a fantastic opportunity to increase coaching standards within your club at a minimum cost. It is hoped all clubs will support this initiative to make it a success, but, as this course is compulsory there will be a €100 club fine for any club which does not participate.
Please discuss with your coaches and club members and let me know who will be attending, ASAP. To register a candidate you can contact me via email or on 0851507713. Gary Coady will be in touch with you in coming weeks with further details.
