Re: A Championship Licence
Following a meeting of the Independent Club Licensing Committee of the Football Association of Ireland, 14 Premier Division licences, 5 First Division licences and 1 conditional First Division licence were awarded.
Galway United were refused a Premier Licence for failure to fulfil the financial criteria as set down in the Club Licensing manual. The club were awarded an "A" Championship Licence.

The committee requested the club to provide security regarding the financial commitments outlined in their budget as presented as part of the Licensing process. The club must comply with this request by close of business on Thursday 17th February in order to receive a licence.
