5 F.C. Carlow V Cobh Ramblers on Mon Apr 13, 2009 10:39 pm

Well for those who were brave enough to face the elements in the Valley Ballon, to see a brilliant display by F.C. Carlow against Roy Keans old Club Cobh Ramblers. This was a great game to see, plenty of passion by both sides and some cracking football. I was soaked to the skin as were most of the supporters on the day. But it was never a match you could leave. Young Hickey scored a cracker to put Carlow in front and it must be said Cobhs goal came against the run of play as F.C. Carlow dominated. Darragh Walsh scored to give the lads a deserved 2 1 lead. And when it seemed like it was over Cobh came back and levelled the match. Carlow never gave up and once again Walsh showed his awareness to pick out Mossie Brennan to give the Boys a 3 2 victory in the cup. Their is no doubt the crowds are coming to support the team. if you have not ben able to go because of your own club fixtures well try and make the next game, These lads are excellent and i personally flower would hate to miss any of their games. Well done F.C. Carlow. Zico

Young Amond as far as I know played all his underage football with New Oak (while in Kilkenny League) and with the Schoolboy section of Shamrock Rovers!!! He has come through the Shamrock Rovers set up.

Lets not talk about FC Carlow players leaving just yet

Enjoyed the game y'day....lovely Ballon weather as usual

Looking at the lineup from the game, there are a few queries.

S Harris, E Byrne and A Wren, What are their first names

Also the substitution: Darragh Walshe -> Robbie Farrell, which minute was this.

Is James Dermody the same player that played 7 games with Kilkenny City in 2007.

Thanks.
