1 new oak v hanover on Mon Sep 21, 2009 3:34 pm

well folks when your right 66% of the time your wrong 34% of the time, and i'll admit i may have been hasty in my opinion of one seamus doran esq.... he showed ages is just a number when rolling back the years with an all action display against hanover harps at the weekend capped by two very well taken goals... it was a great match to watch i must say it had it all dodgey penalty even dodgier sending off and a contraversal late goal to win the game for hanover harps even though they played the second half with ten men.. and when new oak scored to make it 2-2 i must say 10 man hanover dominated the game with young shamie doran tryin his dammest to turn things around but with a very weak midfield around him he was fighting a losing battle.. so congrats to both teams for making it a game to remember... and great response from hanover after last weeks robbery against crettyard.

a footnote to this story my namesake alan shaw had a brilliant game, he sure can move for a big guy Very Happy p.s. michael corcoran you were rubbish, i belive you were going to play b team football at one stage this season?? not having a go at you as i dont really know you just giving you food for thought is all Cool

yea have to agree great game to watch on sunday, very fast and good football with hanover deserving to win they were the more composed, though it was a stonewall penalty and once it was given the player had to be sent off, keeper made a bad mistake for last goal had it and dropped it,good to see a game played with a bit of passion, made good viewing on the sidelines, who was that ref havnt seen him before is he new to the league, league between hanover and crettyard i think, wot u tink? Yes it was a great game alright, poor decison from the ref saved new oak from an embarrassing defeat in my opinion. Hanover were well on top and couldve went on to win 4 or 5 nil if they werent wrongly put down to ten men. It was never a penalty never mind a red card, new oak should count themselves lucky.

Tink you must be a hanover player scooby,we could be here all day debating whether it was a pen or not,in all fairness there was no need for the defender to make any contact with the foward, tink the keeper might have got to the ball 1st,and i do agree that if hanover wd've had the player sent off they wd've won by more, they dominated the game with ten men and i think they will be v.hard to beat this year!
