another win for stretford, 3rd in the table, not really looking like relagation this year. not sure why they have been tipped to go down, thought they were solid enough last year.

have to agree, i dont think stretford are good enough for the premier, i also think portsmouth are going to win the premiership this year and that david Bellion was Alex Fergusons best ever signing.

great to see paul gibbons playing really well this year,
a real quality player and the only one really from stretfords so called a team of the last couple of years, have only conceded three goals this year and a lot of that is down to how well he has organised the defence .

hopefully they can keep the team together for the year now its gonna be a long season and they are an aging team

ive watched stretford play a couple of times this year and i would agree with beetlejuice on paul gibbons. but i think it would be unfair to say that stretford is an aging team as all the eldest players on the team should be lookin to play for a least another four years plus they also have five or six ex youth stars between the ages of 19 to twenty three who all look promising. if this squad can stick together for that four years they will have a good shot a league title.

the premier division needs at least 3 strong teams from
the town so it great 2 c stretford making a good start
and fighting it out in the top half,also good 2 c parkville
have turned a corner,all makes for a competive premier

yes paul gibbons experience and organisation makes a huge difference to the stretford defence.and it was no coincidence they went on a great run last january when he returned to the fold.but give credit to others who seem to have stepped up to the mark this year. bigger tests to come and keeping kieran dollard fit will be key to any success this season

who would of thought stretford would be second to crety at this early stage keep it going lads
